Freshman Ryan McMahon and Sophomore Chad Rutledge once again took 1st and 2nd place as Algona ran to a 2nd place finish in the Class A race at the Eagle Grove invite Tuesday night. McMahon has yet to lose a race finishing 1st for the 6th time in 6 races this season. His time Tuesday was 16:38. Rutledge's time of 16:45 was good enough for 2nd place and 13 seconds better than the 3rd place finisher.
Six of the seven Bulldog runners came in the top 25 finishing the race under 19 minutes. Those results:
Pat Gerhardt 18:31 - 12th Place
Alex Kenne 18:41 - 15th Place
Derek Beaumier 18:48 - 18th Place
Zach Lucas 18:58 - 22nd Place
Johnny Aboud also had a solid showing with a time of 19:48 and a 33rd place finish.
